THE FASTEST-GROWNING SPORT IN THE US

Did you know, pickleball was named the fastest-growing sport in America by the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) for the third year in a row?

SFIA reported that pickleball participation almost doubled in 2022, increasing by 85.7 percent year-over-year and by an astonishing 158.6 percent over three years. Pickleball is now up to a total of 8.9 million players in the United States over the age of six years old, an increase from 4.8 million in the 2022 SFIA Report.

SFIA research is the leading supplier of sports and fitness research, publishing over 100 industry reports each year on industry and product categories.

Here at the US Open, this is no surprise! Our first tournament was in 2016 with 850 players and 6,000+ spectators. This week we will welcome over 3,000 players and 50,000+ spectators to the City of Naples, Collier County and The Pickleball Capital of the World!
