Speaking of Ben Johns, this was the first pickleball tournament that Ben Johns and his mixed doubles partner, Simone Jardim, have not taken home a medal since playing together (which has been almost a 2-year period). Johns and Jardim were left off the podium for a shocking turn of events, leading to a gold medal for pro pickleball pair, Catherine Parenteau and Riley Newman.
