The pickleball court doesn’t care whether you’re:
young, old, male, female, working, retired, former athlete, never played a sport in your life, straight, LGBTQ+, married, single, Democrat, Republican, rich, poor, rural dweller, city slicker, fast, slow, short, tall, black, white, overweight, in shape, religious, atheist, dog lover, cat lover, and/or any other identifier, trait, characteristic, etc.
The pickleball court will treat you just the same. Everyone is welcome on the pickleball court. Love the game and it will love you back.Nice, very nice and caring advice. Just try telling some Pickleball players any of this. Good luck and more if you’re hoping they follow all the advice, mentality, attitude and positive encouraging feelings toward fellow PB addicts, regardless of who they are as an individual person and fellow human being. It’s a good thing they’re a minority in numbers, but still growing w/o intervention. I say this especially in regard to open public courts/facilities, both indoor as well as outdoors.
Those facilities are ‘Nobody’s private domain’, in order to make a spectacle of themselves.
As much as I also miss Pickleball during these down times, those element I and my friends do not miss in the slightest.
That said, I’m going to attempt to keep an open mind and give people the benefit of the doubt as well as not be among the first to jump back on the courts, just because they’ve now been opened up for ‘play’. Thanks for the solid advice here, which I believe will go a long way in defeating a common enemy, Covid-19. To achieve it with a more cohesive human outlook of cooperation, understanding and sensitivity toward each other. Cheers! 😉👍
