The APP recently made its way to the Caribbean for the Cayman Islands Open, where Ryler DeHeart took home the gold medal in men’s singles. Meanwhile, Judit Castillo celebrated a victory in women’s singles. Castillo, alongside her mixed doubles partners Bobbi Oshiro and Richard Livornese, managed to snag double gold medals at the tournament. Oshiro and Livornese triumphed over top seeds Megan Fudge and Jack Munro in mixed doubles. Livornese also secured another gold medal in men’s doubles with his partner Jack Munro, while Oshiro and Castillo battled their way to the top in women’s doubles as well.
The PPA headed to St. George, Utah for the Red Rock Open, where Hunter Johnson showcased his skills, capturing the gold medal in men’s singles by defeating Jack Sock. Anna Leigh Waters also shone brightly, winning dual gold medals – one in women’s singles against Parris Todd and another in women’s doubles alongside teammate Catherine Parenteau. Parris Todd and Dekel Bar had a standout moment too, earning their first pro gold in mixed doubles. Meanwhile, Christian Alshon and Andrei Daescu continued to assert their dominance in men’s doubles.
