Major League Pickleball was back in action with back-to-back events in New York City and Virginia Beach. In New York, the event took place at CityPickle at Wollman Rink in Central Park. In Premier League, the New Jersey 5s jumped to first place after a dominant performance. In Challenger League, Chicago Slice and Miami Pickleball Club stunned with stellar performances, facing off in the final to see who would go undefeated on the weekend. Miami came away with the win and sailed into first place.
MLP Virginia Beach featured only Challenger League teams and there were some shakeups in the standings. The Bay Area Breakers now have a chance at the playoffs, moving from 8th to 5th place. The Las Vegas Night Owls moved from 5th to 7th place and the Frisco Pandas from 7th to 9th in the standings. With a couple events remaining on the schedule before the first MLP Playoffs event in November, most teams still have time to improve their standings and secure their spot in the playoffs.
