Major League Pickleball headed Utah July 25-28 for MLP Salt Lake City. In Premier League the New Jersey 5s suffered their first defeat of 2024 at the hands of Hurricane Tyra Black and Augustus Ge of the Dallas Flash. 🔥 After their performance in Salt Lake City, the Dallas Flash (Hurricane Tyra Black, Augustus Ge, Jorja Johnson, JW Johnson) cruised into the top spot. In Challenger League the SoCal Hard Eights (Yana Newell, Max Manthou, Irina Tereschenko, Erik Lange) dominated at the event. 🙌 Despite SoCal going 3-0 on the weekend, the Atlanta Bouncers and Brooklyn Aces were still positioned as the two best teams in the Challenger League.
MLP then headed to Kansas City where the St. Louis Shock (Anna Bright, Kate Fahey, Hayden Patriquin, Gabriel Tardio) had an undefeated weekend going 4-0. Anna Bright sits at the top of the standings after the event. 💪 Rachel Rohrabacher of D.C. Pickleball Team was the only undefeated Premier League player in Kansas City. Some of the Challenger League teams made significant moves, positive and negative, in the standings after this event. Based on points per game, the Atlanta Bouncers moved from 1st to 5th, the Chicago Slice went from last to 6th, and the SoCal Hard Eights went from 4th and are now sitting just out of 1st place. 👏 No Challenger team is ruled out of the playoffs as there could continue to be major adjustments like these at upcoming events.
