Did you know that the month of April is National Pickleball Month? In light of the upcoming National Pickleball Month, we challenge you to teach at least 5 other people how to play pickleball before April 1st. This is Pickler’s Pickleball Challenge for you!
According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), there are 3.3 million pickleball players in the United States. If each one of the 3.3 million pickleball players accepts and accomplishes Pickler’s Pickleball Challenge, then the pickleball community would have 19.8 million pickleball players by April 1st (3.3 million + (5 people times 3.3 million) = 19.8 million pickleball players), which is more than the number of tennis players in the United States. If we as a pickleball community could all accept and accomplish Pickler’s Pickleball Challenge, then we will really have something to celebrate this April during National Pickleball Month!
So, what do you say? Let's grow the sport of pickleball!

I do the intro program for our Rochester Minnesota Pickleball Association. I average about two dozen new players per month.
I’m on my way! I’ve introduced Pickleball to three so far. Our two military sons, and one sons girlfriend.🥰😁

We have introducing pickleball sessions to help people to enjoy pickleball @ our senior center in West Bend Wisconsin. Growing exponentially. Great fun competition and comraderee… play on and on and on!!!! Pickleball is a BIG DILL!!!!
Done! SINCE January, 40+ students have passed through my free beginner classes that I offer as a USAPA Ambassador. Most of those people are showing up in open play!
Played for the first time eight months ago at age 72 and being retired play five to seven days a week for two to four hours each day. It has been so good for my health and outlook that I have introduced everyone I can to social Pickleball where having multiple partners is a good thing. As I have a background in teaching and coaching, my Y has asked me to lead a program of introductory clinics monthly along with hours set aside weekly for beginners to continue to work on basic skills along with knowledge of court courtesy, rules and history of the game. With just two courts at our facility, we limit the clinics to eight prospective players. The results have been very rewarding, particularly when we see their skills develop to the point that they are able to play and hold their own with more experienced rec players at our venue as well as others.
