The PPA v. APP/MLP feud continues… The APP Tour announced new investors in the form of a marketing agency out of Chicago, as well as increased stipends for pro players. Plus, the MLP announced a new players commitment (and increased prize money), which seems to be in response to the PPA’s hard stance on exclusivity around pro players. This commitment was stamped by the line, “When pickleball wins, we all win.” With the first PPA tournament this coming week, plus a promised announcement on February 1st, this pickleball drama is certainly to be continued…
