Gold in Atlanta for Hunter Johnson

The APP Tour headed to Illinois for the Chicago Open. In men’s singles, doubles partners Christopher Haworth and Grayson Goldin faced off in the medal match with Haworth securing the gold medal. Simone Jardim overcame some of the top seeded players on her run to the finals in women’s singles. Jardim went head to head with Megan Fudge who narrowly outplayed Jardim to claim yet another singles title. In mixed doubles, partners Mari Humberg and Eric Oncins fought their way to the medal match and emerged victorious to each secure their first professional gold medals.

The PPA Tour made its way south for the PPA Atlanta Slam. The event featured a slew of upsets and intense matches. Hunter Johnson stood out in men’s singles, defeating Connor Garnett in the medal match to secure his first-ever gold medal on the PPA tour. Ben and Collin Johns earned redemption, claiming gold in men’s doubles after seven events without a win. In women’s singles, Anna Leigh Waters and Parris Todd met in the gold medal match after battling a lineup of impressive opponents. Waters ultimately secured the gold, her second at the event in addition to gold in mixed doubles. The women’s doubles event saw two powerhouse duos facing off in the final. Anna Bright & Rachel Rohrabacher secured the victory against Anna Leigh Waters & Catherine Parenteau.
