Stacie TownsendPickleball is constantly evolving. Learn one trend to adopt in 2023... it's time to get aggressive with those serves!
The perfect pickleball bag DOES exist! Pickler’s top picks for pickleball bags are:
In this pickleball blog, we will breakdown what makes these pickleball bags so great, as well as discuss 8 “must-have” items in your pickleball bag.
Doubletake is a relatively new bag brand that was started by two women striving to make the perfect bag for racquet and paddle sports – in other words, a pickleball bag “created by players for players.” And, after having a chance to test out Doubletake’s products, we think they nailed it, as these pickleball bags have serious quality, style, design, and functionality!
Doubletake offers three different pickleball bags based on your relative needs when hitting the pickleball court:
Doubletake calls its pickleball tote the “Paris.” This sporty tote comes in four beautiful colors and is the smallest of the Doubletake collection (14 inches tall by 6.5 inches deep by up to 17 inches wide), but easily holds two pickleball paddles in the front pocket.
This pickleball tote also features:
This pickleball tote is perfect for all of your pickleball gear, and is stylish to use both on and off the pickleball court.
Doubletake calls its pickleball backpack the “Melbourne.” This sporty backpack comes in multiple color combinations and is the mid-size bag of the Doubletake collection (15 inches tall by 7 inches deep by up to 18 inches wide).
This pickleball backpack holds two pickleball paddles in the front pocket, and also features:
Like the pickleball tote, this pickleball backpack is perfect for all of your pickleball gear, and is stylish to use both on and off the pickleball court. To note, the main difference between the two pickleball bags is the design—whether you prefer of tote/backpack—and the backpack has an additional wet/dry compartment.
Doubletake calls its pickleball tournament or travel bag the “London.” This pickleball bag is the largest of the Doubletake collection (16 inches tall by 8 inches deep by up to 21 inches wide) and comes in multiple color combinations.
This pickleball bag holds four pickleball paddles in the front and back pockets and comes with a coordinating wristlet. This pickleball bag also features:
This pickleball bag is the perfect weekend travel bag—whether you are headed to a pickleball tournament or for another getaway. This pickleball bag is perfect for all of your pickleball gear and more, and is stylish to use both on and off the pickleball court.
As you can see, we are huge fans of Doubletake and we think you will be, too! The quality, style, design, and functionality are second-to-none. Order your (or for your favorite pickleball gal) Doubletake pickleball bag (or all three!) before you hit the pickleball court today!
The long-standing, well-known brand of FILA is making a big splash into the pickleball community. One of FILA’s best new pickleball products is its pickleball bag—and the FILA pickleball clothes and other gear are pretty swanky, too!
The FILA pickleball bag is Pickler’s top pick for the men’s pickleball bags. This pickleball bag is a lightweight backpack (21 inches high by 10.5 inches deep by 12 inches wide), making it easy to carry all of your pickleball essentials, including easily fitting two or more pickleball paddles. The FILA pickleball bag also features:
The FILA pickleball bag is super functional with everything you need to keep your pickleball items organized and safe when hitting the pickleball courts! Plus, this pickleball bag is made by a quality fashion brand ready to join the pickleball community! Grab yours (or one for your favorite pickleball guy) today!
You do not need much to play pickleball—essentially a pickleball paddle, pickleball, court, and some friends. However, sometimes, it is nice to be prepared to play your best pickleball. To be prepared for your best pickleball, grab your new Doubletake or FILA pickleball bag and pack it with the following 8 “must-have” items for your pickleball bag:
Obviously, one of the essential items in your pickleball bag is your pickleball paddle. However, it is a good idea to have a “back-up” pickleball paddle in case you want to introduce a friend to the great sport, or in the unfortunate event that your pickleball paddle breaks or eventually wears out.
If you need help picking a pickleball paddle, check out Pickler’s blog on pickleball paddles for everything you need to know.
Another essential is pickleballs (and plenty of extra pickleballs if and when they break). It is important to have pickleballs that suit the court surfaces you typically play on (whether hard court or gym surface). It is also considered courteous to supply pickleballs when playing (rather than always relying on other players).
Every pickleball player should have proper pickleball shoes. Pickleball shoes are important for both safety and performance. Make sure you have a pair of pickleball shoes for your pickleball bag!
Like any other physical activity, it is important to stay hydrated on the pickleball court. With that said, be sure to bring your own water bottle that is filled with water or some other liquid to keep you hydrated on the pickleball court.
Some pickleball players can be on the pickleball court for hours and hours. If you are one of those players, it may be a good idea to pack electrolyte packets (to mix with your water) and/or a snack. These items are important to keep you at your best on those extremely hot, grueling days.
Although pickleball eyewear is not required to play pickleball, pickleball eyewear can help prevent injuries, as well as improve visibility, on the pickleball court. Be sure to grab some pickleball eyewear—whether performance sunglasses or other eyewear—for the pickleball court!
For all outdoor pickleball players, be sure to pack a hat or visor (Pickler’s hats and visors recommended!) and sunscreen in your pickleball bag. Protect yourself against the sun and help block the sun from interfering with your vision on the pickleball court!
Whether you play indoors or outdoors, you are sure to break a sweat playing pickleball. Sometimes, sweat can interfere with your pickleball play, as the sweat makes your grip on the pickleball paddle loose and slick, or makes you uncomfortable in your sweaty clothes. To manage this, be sure to pack a clean towel, sweatbands, extra clothes (like t-shirts and socks), and even deodorant in your pickleball bag.
